Indigenous Soul

Indigenous Soul is a chanting and drumming circle open to all women who wish to connect with and express their indigenous soul through drumming, chanting and singing. You will learn traditional native chants, newly released native songs and original compositions as well as drumming, rattles and other percussive instruments. Formed in April 2008 - IS meets monthly on the second Thursday of each month, 5:30 - 6:30 pm just prior to the Clan Mother Circle.

To enhance the experience for all participants, we ask the following: (1) to have made (or plan to make) your own frame drum so you can travel farther into your own indigenous roots; (2) willing to make a 12 month commitment to the group; and (3) willing to participate in community outreach events during the year to share our drumming and chanting. Prior experience not necessary. Tuturing is available if needed with Luzviminda Malibiran. Facilitated by Luzviminda Malibiran, Mary Jamis and Robin Lynne.
