Francis Rico combines ancient and modern shamanic wisdom with a gift of sight to assist his students, clients, and fellow adventurers in awakening to the truth of their magnificence, and to the gift of their lives.
He has studied with indigenous elders in the American Southwest and thoughout South America, and has led shamanic journeys to Teotihuacan and Peru for the past two decades, working with Miguel Ruiz (Beyond Fear), Gini Gentry (Dreaming Down Heaven), and Jorge Delgado (Andean Awakening).
Francis Rico, under the name Frank Hayhurst, is also a musician and recording artist -- who earned a Grammy for his work creating Musicians Helping Musicians, a musician health/crisis response organization. He is also a radio personality, whose weekly program "Face the Music" is popular in the Bay Area. For over 30 years Frank owned Zone Music, a popular destination for both musicians and music lovers who enjoyed the frequent events held on the courtyard stage. Twenty-five bands and over one thousand grateful friends gathered to celebrate "Zone" when it closed last year.
Francis lives in Northern California, where he shares the beauty of the wild coastal mesas, cliffs, and ocean in support of his counseling and healing practices. He conducts community-based Peace Ceremonies, Solstice and Equinox observances, vision quests, and home and business clearings and blessings -- along with classes, workshops and private sessions.
He is the author of A Shaman's Guide to Deep Beauty: In this new guide to the Great Mystery, musician, shaman and irrepressible advocate for having fun and enjoying life, Francis Rico presents 11 simple practices. Each is a step on the spiral path that will help you to embody the ageless wisdom of Spirit -- bringing happiness, healing, and real magic into your life.
